Former CCA president Dr. Maurice Campbell passes away

Former Canadian Curling Association president Dr. Maurice Campbell has passed away at the age of 94 in Trois-Rivières, Que. Former Canadian Curling Association president Dr. Maurice Campbell. Dr. Campbell, a member of the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame as well as the Governor General's Curling Club, served as CCA president for the 1970-71 curling season. In addition to his work as a builder of the sport of curling, he was an active participant, and threw lead rocks for the Quebec team skipped by Bob Lahaie at the 1958 Macdonald Brier in Victoria. Three individuals given Life and Honorary Life Memberships

Three individuals have been honoured by Curl BC with Lifetime and Honorary Lifetime Memberships. Jim Mann, a past President and Chair of Curl BC, has been honoured with a Lifetime Membership with Curl BC for his many years of volunteer service with various curling organizations throughout the province. The dedicated curler was part of a group of club curlers who created the Pacific Club Challenge 15 years ago and was a founding member of the Pacific International Cup 14 years ago. Getting up to speed with anti-spam legislation

Canada's Anti-Spam Law* (CASL) was passed in December 2010 and is expected to come into force on July 1, 2014. Curl BC honours curling heroes at awards banquet

Dedicated curling volunteers, amazing athletes, and fantastic sponsors were all honoured at a special Curl BC event. The 2014 Curl BC Annual Award Ceremony and Banquet was held earlier this month at the Best Western Plus Coquitlam Inn. Among those honoured were Sonja Gaudet and Ina Forrest, Paralympic gold medallists from Sochi, and Jim Cotter, Brier silver medallist and Curl BC's 2014 Male Athlete of the Year. Bowman wins CCA Award of Achievement

Longtime curling volunteer Jack Bowman has been named winner of the 2014 Canadian Curling Association Award of Achievement, it was announced today. Jack Bowman has been named winner of the 2014 CCA Award of Achievement. New eligibility requirements for BC Club Challenge

The Dominion Curling Club Championship has new eligibility requirements for 2014-15 and has been rebranded the Travelers Curling Club Championship. The change has taken place as a result of The Dominion now being a part of Travelers Canada. The Key West Ford Premium Curling League is accepting entries for the 2014/2015 season. The league takes place at the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster and is administered by that club.
